Overview

I designed the UI/UX for the internal employee portal of Agratas (Tata Group’s global battery business). The portal, built on SharePoint, serves as a central hub for employees to access company updates, tools, and resources across multiple departments and locations.

Design a digital auction platform that:

•  Enable employees to easily access location-specific updates, internal tools, policies, and news
• Ensure design consistency across various departments and locations (e.g. Bridgwater UK, Sanand India)
• Enhance employee engagement and make information discovery seamless
• Ensure SharePoint compatibility while creating an intuitive, modern interface

Design Process

 

🔍 Research & Requirements

• Conducted stakeholder interviews (Corporate Communications, HR, IT)

• Studied existing SharePoint limitations and opportunities

📃 Wireframing & Information Architecture

• Created low-fidelity wireframes for key modules:

• Home page

• News / Updates

• Location-specific pages

• Departmental hubs (Quality, Technology, People & Culture, etc.)

• Defined a navigation structure that is simple and scalable

🎨 Visual Design

• Developed high-fidelity mockups in line with Tata / Agratas brand guidelines

• Used consistent color palettes, iconography, and spacing

• Prioritized readability and accessibility

• Designed reusable templates to maintain consistency across pages
